El Rey Network is a blessing.

The showdown in the kitchen is the cherry on The Raid 2's cake. A balletic, brutal encounter that has a narrative of it own. Somebody with more martial arts knowledge than me could explain how it begins, as the two fighters seem to prod each other and get a feel for their skills.
When it lets rip, it’s balls to the wall. Letting up only briefly for weapons to be produced or purposeful changes in stance. It’s something of a shame that it takes place between Rama (Iko Uwais) and an antagonist known only as The Assassin (Cecep Arif Rahman) and known only for being an utter badass.
Though I can’t remember that last time an entire cinema audience collectively let out a sigh of relief at the end of a fight on celluloid. A true, fitting crescendo in a succession of action that had already gone above and beyond.

When my Mummy and I drink tea and cuddle up on the sofa to watch a movie we love, it always involves righteous vengeance and/or Lucy Liu.
